Bio

Dr. Joseph P Miller

I am a retired Army Colonel and Physician with more than 26 years of active service and deployments to Iraq in 2003 and 2009. Personal issues along with a difficult life event lead me to Zen Buddhism in early 2019.  Buddhist practice greatly helped my wellbeing but it wasn’t until I completed the August 2020 VeternRites Rite of Return, that I discovered that the combination of meditation, Buddhism and the connection to nature can create a degree of contentment and peace I never dreamed was possible.

As I look to my future I hope to be able to aid other service members and veterans in their quest to claim a peaceful and content life.
