Backyard Victory Garden Build and Social

Each spring, GRuB partners with veterans, individuals, families, and organizations to build backyard vegetable gardens. We work throughout Thurston County, and into Mason, Pierce, and other counties, to provide the public with access to the knowledge and resources needed to grow fresh, healthy, and culturally appropriate foods. The GGP offers gardens, vegetable seeds, plant starts, cover crop mix, and our extensive gardening workshop series, and encourages connections within the greater gardening community.

On Friday, April 16th, GRuB is partnering with Veteran Rites to build and bless a backyard garden for a Navy veteran in Pacific, WA. Come on out to assist in building raised garden beds that feed the veteran soul then be fed, family dinner style with Veteran Rites!

All participants will practice safe covid protocol for gatherings.
